Prepare farm work with Proto

Prepare farm records and operating rehearsals with Proto.

It can

  • Farm Manager: Prepare crop-plan imports and list planned assignments with the field, cycle and assigned person for approval review.
  • Field Operator: Prepare actual application evidence for the selected task, retaining its input-lot references and declared units.
  • Agronomy Reviewer: Bring together harvest quantities, grade weights and unfinished tasks for the acceptance discussion.
  • Admin: Prepare access rehearsals and review screens, then check source links with the intended operating accounts.

Stays with a person

  • Farm Manager makes the task-approval decision.
  • Agronomy Reviewer decides harvest acceptance.
  • Proto relies on the team's actual measurements and must use the authorized command path.
  • Have the responsible person resolve an unclear lot, harvest or measurement before submitting work.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Agree the pilot

Choose a recognizable field, crop variety and planting intention. Farm Manager agrees the task-approval handoff. Agronomy Reviewer defines the harvest evidence needed for acceptance. Set the unit conventions and grade labels before importing quantities.

  2. Prepare identities and opening records

Link staff members to their intended accounts, then load the reviewed field register and input lots. Follow the data-model order for dependent records. Resolve the acceptance-person mapping while rehearsing harvest entry with its reviewer.

  3. Configure access and review screens

Agree the responsibilities of each role. Configure any delegated Manager approval and the access Admin needs for setup. Set up My Field Work using each account’s linked staff record, then check the review views and source links with the people who will use them.

  4. Rehearse the commands

Follow crop planning, manager-approved execution, harvest acceptance and grading with actual pilot records. Test valid submissions, invalid evidence and unauthorized accounts. Repeat saved submissions and compare the resulting records and lot quantities. A refusal should leave the whole request unchanged.

  5. Review the operating cycle

Include harvest acceptance with open tasks and a separate case with none remaining. Inspect the actual dates and grade units, then follow Business Overview’s attention links into the correct crop cycle. Agree who handles corrections and unfinished work before widening use.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure ERP for Agriculture for your business. Begin with a recognizable field, a crop plan, an approved field task and representative harvest evidence. Agree the manager and reviewer responsibilities, then rehearse the operating cycle before expanding.

What does ERP for Agriculture cover?

Field readiness, crop planning, crop cycles, assigned tasks, observations, input lots and usage, harvest acceptance and yield grading. Business Overview shows crop stages, field readiness and an attention queue linked to the exact cycle. Start with the fields and seasonal work your team can review together.

Who approves field work?

Farm Manager reviews the task's field, crop cycle and assigned person before moving it from Planned to Approved. Where the farm delegates task approval to Manager, configure that responsibility during setup. Field Operator's execution command checks the assignment and eligible task state before writing.

What happens if an input lot fails a check?

The execution command checks every lot's existence, unit, expiry and available quantity before posting usage or completing work. A refused request leaves the task, usage and stock unchanged. Farm Manager resolves the lot information or balance issue before the operator tries again.

Can an operator repeat a submission?

Task execution returns its original saved result. Crop planning recognizes the same field, variety and planting date; grading recognizes the same harvest and grade. Repeated harvest acceptance writes nothing. Check the saved result after an uncertain response and handle a changed measurement through the agreed correction procedure.

What closes a crop cycle?

Agronomy Reviewer's harvest-acceptance command records the actual harvest date and checks remaining field tasks. It selects Harvesting while any tasks are open, or Closed when none remain open. If work remains after acceptance, Farm Manager follows those assignments and rehearses the later closing procedure during setup.

How are accepted and rejected weights recorded?

Each grade keeps accepted weight, rejected weight and unit against the exact harvest. Agronomy Reviewer agrees grade labels and compares compatible units. For a rehearsal harvest of 300 kilograms, compare 270 kilograms accepted and 30 kilograms rejected with the original quantity in the same unit.

Can we bring in weather or weighing data?

Choose the provider or device and configure its connection. Agree source identity, field mapping and units, then rehearse a repeated delivery and a refused measurement. Use the integration plan to assign ownership of the connection and its exceptions.

How do operators get the right access?

Link each staff record to its intended account, then test task execution as the assigned operator. Rehearse crop-plan and grading submissions with that account as well. Agree the records each person needs to read and test the source links used in review before widening invitations.

What drives the cost?

Manual work, machine activity, model usage and implementation follow ERP.AI's pricing treatment. Estimate imports and command activity from the pilot and review pricing before expanding or adding connections.
