Ask Proto to prepare the work

Ask Proto to prepare records, trace exceptions and assemble evidence for a human decision.

It can

  • Sales Representative: Prepare a quote from a dealer, item unit and price list, then show the approval owner the accepted amount.
  • Purchasing Manager: Compare supplier commitments with actual receipt and accepted quantities.
  • Warehouse Manager: Trace an order line through reservation, pick, route and actual delivery outcome.
  • Accountant: Show the source invoice, receipt and unapplied balance before preparing an allocation.

Stays with a person

  • Commercial, stock and finance authority remains with the named human role.
  • Proto can gather the current revision and supporting records, but an approval needs the responsible person's decision.
  • Actual physical arrival, carrier handoff and bank settlement require evidence from the people or connected systems that observed them.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the scope

Choose the entity, dealer accounts, product units, warehouse and finance owners for the first cycle.

  2. Prepare masters

Review product, price, supplier, customer, currency and posting versions before commercial use.

  3. Load opening work

Reconcile inventory and open trade balances, then enter the open order and supplier commitments.

  4. Rehearse the handoffs

Trace a partial order, receipt, delivery, invoice, cash application and return through their source records.

  5. Review decisions

Have separate people prepare and approve each gated step. Check the evidence and remaining quantity after exceptions.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Electronics ERP.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure ERP for Electronics for your business. Pilot one dealer, one stocked product, one warehouse and a complete order through settlement.

Can I manage dealer prices?

Yes. Price lists and their entries hold effective prices and quantity tiers in product units. Review the price basis before accepting an order.

How are partial deliveries handled?

Delivery lines retain dispatched, delivered and title-transferred quantities. Delivery results record accepted, refused, failed and damaged quantities for an actual attempt.

Can purchasing and warehouse teams work together?

Purchase orders hold the supplier commitment. Goods receipts record arrival and Receipt acceptances record the reviewed accepted tranche before stock is posted.

Can I move inventory between warehouses?

Stock transfers and their lines retain dispatch, owned transit and receipt quantities within an entity.

How do assembly kits work?

Bills of materials and routings define the output basis and operations. Work orders, component records and production logs capture the released work and actual output.

Who approves invoices?

Finance Manager independently approves a prepared customer invoice before posting.

How are customer returns handled?

Returns authorize bounded physical scope. Return dispositions record the physical decision; credit and refund records follow their separate financial path.

How do we reconcile cash?

Cash receipts record actual customer cash. Cash applications link available receipt amounts to eligible invoices, with bank statement evidence reconciled separately.

What should we review before period close?

Close tasks capture bank, receivables, payables, inventory, tax and other cutoff evidence for the accounting period decision.
