Prepare the next decision with Proto

Ask Proto to prepare cases and explain the next responsible decision.

It can

  • Sales Representative: Prepare an order review with accepted quantity, price basis and current credit state.
  • Warehouse Manager: List picked work and route exceptions that need a decision.
  • Accountant: Explain which accepted receipt quantities can be matched to a supplier bill.
  • Finance Manager: Prepare invoice, payment and close evidence for independent review.

Stays with a person

  • Proto can assemble the case and trace linked records.
  • The named human owner makes the approval, confirms physical events and reconciles outside bank or carrier evidence.
  • Role and entity access still govern each action.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the operating basis

Confirm entities, currencies, item units, warehouses, customer and supplier identities, pricing and the title rule.

  2. Assign authority

Review access scopes and independent sales, warehouse and finance decisions. Test a rejected approval and changed revision.

  3. Load opening work

Reconcile stock layers, open orders, receivables and payables to the cutoff evidence.

  4. Run a complete case

Execute order, pick, partial delivery, invoice and cash application, then supplier receipt, bill and payment.

  5. Review exceptions

Rehearse return, count variance, duplicate event and uncertain payment before routine use.

FAQ

Scope, rollout and pricing for Media ERP.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure ERP for Media for your business. Pilot one entity, one stocked item, a customer order and a supplier receipt before expanding.

Can an order ship in parts?

Yes. The accepted line keeps its original scope while each shipment and allocation records its portion. Review the remainder before another pick or bill.

Who accepts a customer order?

Sales Manager independently approves the current accepted order revision. Finance Manager decides any needed credit exception.

What makes received goods available?

Record actual arrival, then confirm the accepted tranche. Put-away and stock movements carry the accepted quantity into an owned position.

How are transfers handled?

A transfer keeps the same legal owner through dispatch, transit and receipt. The receiving team checks the actual remainder before closing it.

Can we assemble kits?

Yes. An effective assembly and route supply the bounded work order. Record material issue, actual operation evidence and terminal output.

How is a delivery exception recorded?

The route stop and attempt capture what happened. Line results separate accepted, refused, failed and damaged quantities.

Does a return automatically refund a customer?

A physical return, stock disposition, credit and refund each follow their own recorded decision. Finance reviews the eligible source before money moves.

How do we close a period?

Reconcile bank, receivables, payables, stock and other close tasks at the cutoff. Finance Manager reviews the close decision after exceptions are resolved.
