ERP for Printing & Packaging · Available now

Keep orders, stock and accounts in step.

ERP for Printing & Packaging runs the trade and distribution cycle for a company selling physical products: dealer offers, accepted sales orders, purchasing, owned stock, bounded assembly or repacking, delivery, customer invoices and cash application. A distributor of print or packaging products can use product and unit records for its sellable items and components, then trace each accepted order through available stock and actual fulfillment.

Prepare work with Proto

Ask Proto to prepare records and explain exceptions for the responsible reviewer.

It can

  • Sales Representative: Prepare a dealer quote and identify the applicable price list and product unit.
  • Warehouse Manager: Summarize stock reservations, transfer remainders and work orders awaiting release.
  • Accountant: Explain an invoice balance from its source shipment and applied receipts.
  • Finance Manager: Collect the current evidence for an invoice or period decision.

Stays with a person

  • The accountable person makes the approval.
  • Proto can prepare the current records and flag a missing source, but an instruction or draft cannot stand in for actual receipt, delivery, settlement or the reviewer's decision.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Printing & Packaging ERP.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure ERP for Printing & Packaging for your business. Pilot one entity, one warehouse, a small product range and an order that reaches invoice and cash application.

Can we keep separate legal entities?

Yes. Entity ownership applies to stock, trade documents and financial periods. Agree on shared master data and separate opening balances before import.

How are prices set?

Effective price lists and product units supply the dealer offer. The accepted order retains its reviewed commercial basis when a list later changes.

Who approves a customer order?

Sales Manager independently approves the submitted order. Finance Manager decides a required bounded credit exception.

What happens when a purchase arrives in part?

Record actual arrived, accepted, rejected and pending quantities separately. The remaining purchase commitment stays open.

Can stock move between warehouses?

A reviewed transfer records actual dispatch and receipt. An unreceived remainder remains owned in transit.

How does assembly work?

A released work order freezes its bill of materials, routing and output basis. Operators record actual component issues, operation quantities and accepted output.

How are partial deliveries billed?

The invoice uses eligible title-transferred quantities and accepted order value. Partial work leaves the unbilled remainder with its source line.

How is customer cash applied?

A recorded receipt retains unapplied cash until an allocation consumes available amount against an invoice. Both remaining balances stay visible.

What happens to returned goods?

A return is authorized against original scope, then actual goods receive a separate disposition. A credit or refund follows its own financial review.
