Ask Proto about the next handoff

Ask Proto to prepare records, explain exceptions and guide the next reviewed action.

It can

  • Sales Representative: Prepare a dealer order from a reviewed offer and show what remains after a partial shipment.
  • Purchasing Manager: Trace an order shortage to a requisition, purchase order and accepted receipt.
  • Warehouse Manager: Explain stock availability by location, lot and custody state before a pick or transfer.
  • Accountant: Reconcile an invoice to eligible shipment scope and actual cash allocation.

Stays with a person

  • Proto can prepare and explain work within the configured access scope.
  • Named people still make approval, receipt acceptance, return disposition, payment release and period close decisions.
  • External bank or carrier acknowledgement must come from the relevant system and be reconciled to the source event.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set authority

Name the legal entities, currencies, warehouse scopes, approval owners and bounded delegations. Review the posting period and policy versions.

  2. Load masters

Bring in dealer accounts, contacts, suppliers, items, units, price lists, warehouses, locations and opening stock with reviewed identities.

  3. Run a pilot order

Price an offer, approve an accepted order, source a shortage, receive goods, pick, dispatch and record the actual delivery outcome.

  4. Reconcile finance

Approve the eligible invoice, record actual cash, apply it to the intended balance and match the supplier bill to accepted receipts.

  5. Exercise exceptions

Rehearse partial delivery, refusal, return, count variance and a changed order revision before expanding to other entities.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Telecom ERP.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure ERP for Telecom for your business. Pilot one dealer, one warehouse, a small item set and one complete order through cash application.

How are dealer prices chosen?

Use an effective price list, the selected item unit and the eligible quantity tier. Review discounts and tax before sending the offer.

Who accepts an order?

Sales Manager approves the current order revision after the commercial and credit review. Finance Manager decides a required credit exception separately.

Can one order ship in parts?

Yes. Each shipment line consumes its own accepted order scope, leaving the unfulfilled amount visible.

When does stock become available after a supplier delivery?

An arrival is recorded first. Reviewed acceptance posts the accepted tranche into owned stock; rejected and pending quantities remain distinct.

Can the team assemble kits?

A work order uses a BOM, routing, output item and standard cost. Actual materials and operations are recorded before completion and cost review.

How are delivery failures handled?

Record the actual stop attempt and accepted, refused, failed or damaged line quantities. Keep the unresolved remainder for correction or rescheduling.

What makes a shipment billable?

Use eligible title-transferred quantity under the order's title rule. Finance Manager reviews the invoice basis before approval.

How are returns linked to the sale?

The authorized return points to original shipment and financial lines, then a reviewed disposition records the physical outcome.

What happens when payment information is uncertain?

Keep the submitted instruction and its response state. Reconcile bank evidence before treating it as settled or sending another economic instruction.
