Ask Proto about the next case

Give each role a useful starting request for the work it owns.

It can

  • Truck Manager: Show active stops and the orders planned for each destination.
  • Menu Manager: Compare active menu items with approved recipe revisions and ingredient declarations.
  • Service Lead: List my open orders by serving time and show the lines on a selected order.
  • Kitchen Lead: Show accepted lines and the recipe basis for a selected menu item.

Stays with a person

  • The team decides capacity, preparation, service and independent correction approval.
  • A provider receipt establishes its own event, while the assistant can help compare that event with local records.
  • Uncertain external outcomes stay in review until actual evidence is reconciled.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set operating context

Create the organization, staff identities and active destinations. Check time zones, stop contacts and access responsibilities.

  2. Prepare the menu

Add active products, ingredients, allergen declarations and approved recipe revisions. Check yield units and prices with kitchen and service leads.

  3. Run a service cycle

Draft an order, test item and capacity checks, accept it and record actual preparation and served portions.

  4. Review changes and money

Rehearse a partial cancellation, independent correction decision and provider refund evidence.

  5. Resolve exceptions

Open pending and failed receipts from Shift Operations, compare effects, attach evidence and close only matched outcomes.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Food Truck Management.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Food Truck Management for your business. Begin with one stop, an active menu and a representative order from draft through service.

Can I keep several destinations?

Yes. Truck stops record each destination's code, address, contact, eligibility note and organization. Choose the applicable stop on each service order.

How is an order accepted?

Service Lead checks active products, portions, allergens, net amount and serving capacity. Acceptance retains the order revision, actual time and operation receipt.

How does the kitchen see its work?

Accepted service order lines carry the requested portions and menu detail. Kitchen Lead records actual preparation against the approved recipe revision.

How can we distinguish preparation from service?

Preparation time and ingredient movements record kitchen work. Served portions record the actual handover, so a partial service and remaining work remain visible.

Where do submitted line tickets appear?

Pending Line Release lists submitted tickets. Kitchen Lead can inspect the ticket's revision and details alongside its parent order.

How are cancellations handled?

The team reviews unprepared and unserved scope against the current revision. Independent Reviewer decides a compensating correction, while prior accepted and served history remains.

How do we confirm a refund?

Finance Lead compares the proposed refund with provider-issued payment evidence, including event identity, amount and verification state.

What happens when an operation fails?

Shift Operations opens the underlying exception. Independent Reviewer checks the receipt, order revision and actual effects before marking an outcome complete.

Can we retain supporting files?

Record attachments keep files and evidence linked to the order, with an uploader, evidence type and visibility choice.
