Prepare the shift with Proto

Ask Proto to prepare shift views and evidence for the people who make decisions.

It can

  • Order Taker: Show open orders at today's selected stop and flag missing serving context before acceptance.
  • Kitchen Lead: Gather the approved recipe revision, line portions and ticket decision for a pending preparation.
  • Shift Supervisor: Summarize the submitted ticket revision, parent order and attached evidence for review.
  • Operations Manager: Compare a pending receipt with its parent order, decisions and linked effects for reconciliation.

Stays with a person

  • People retain acceptance, independent approval, service confirmation, refund review and exception resolution.
  • Proto can collect records and prepare a comparison, but the authorized person checks the source revision and actual evidence before a guarded action is completed.
  • A provider reference must be verified with its source. Review roles and plan the pilot.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the operating context

Add the organization, team members and active route stop for the pilot. Confirm its time zone, contact and eligibility note.

  2. Prepare the menu

Add active products, ingredients, allergen declarations and an approved recipe revision with quantities and units.

  3. Run the shift

Accept a feasible stop order, submit a ticket, obtain independent review, prepare portions and record actual service.

  4. Check exceptions

Rehearse a returned ticket, partial service, a refund with provider evidence and a pending operation receipt.

  5. Expand carefully

Add stops, products and staff after the pilot orders and evidence reconcile.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Food Truck POS & Route Planner.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Food Truck POS & Route Planner for your business. Pilot one active stop, a small menu and a shift that includes order acceptance, ticket review, preparation, service and exception reconciliation.

How does an order reach the kitchen?

Order Taker accepts feasible menu and portion scope for a stop and serving time. Kitchen Lead submits the line ticket, and Shift Supervisor reviews its revision before release.

Can the kitchen use a changed recipe?

A recipe has a revision, effective date and approval state. The kitchen works from the approved revision for the released order scope. Review a later change separately.

How are allergens handled?

Ingredients and order lines carry allergen declarations. Check them while accepting the order and before preparation.

What if only part of an order was served?

The line keeps requested and served portions separately. Review the remaining scope before cancellation or compensation, and record waste separately.

Who approves a line ticket?

Shift Supervisor records an independent decision on the submitted revision with a reason. Release uses that reviewed revision.

How does a refund get checked?

Finance Reviewer verifies the provider's refund evidence, including its event ID, reference and amount, against the order. A request alone does not confirm the provider result.

What happens after a failed operation?

Open the operation receipt from the Shift Operations exception queue. Compare its expected revision and linked effects with actual records before resolving it.

Can we serve several destinations?

Keep each active destination as a route stop under the correct organization. Assign each order an owner and serving time, then review open work by stop.

What drives the cost?

Review the current pricing and scope imports, integrations and agent activity for the planned shift.
