Help each role prepare its next decision

Ask Proto to prepare order, ticket and exception work for the right person to decide.

It can

  • Service Lead: Find open orders for a service period and summarize the planned time, owner and location before acceptance.
  • Kitchen Supervisor: Bring a submitted ticket, parent order revision and supporting details together for review.
  • Menu Steward: Compare an active product with its approved recipe revision and ingredient declarations.
  • Operations Reviewer: Gather a failed receipt, linked decisions and actual effects for read-first reconciliation.

Stays with a person

  • A person must make the independent kitchen release and correction decisions.
  • The agent can prepare records and surface conflicts, but it should not infer that an external payment or delivery effect happened from a local status alone.
  • Keep provider evidence and actual service records with the order.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the operating context

Confirm organizations, active service locations, staff identities and order ownership.

  2. Prepare the menu

Review active products, ingredient units and allergens, and approved recipe revisions for the pilot dishes.

  3. Rehearse acceptance

Enter a representative meal order, check portions and capacity, then accept it with the actual time and operation receipt.

  4. Rehearse kitchen and service

Submit a ticket, obtain an independent supervisor decision, prepare the meal lines and record served portions.

  5. Review corrections

Try a partly served order, a bounded cancellation and provider evidence for an approved refund.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Restaurant POS System.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Restaurant POS System for your business. Start with one service location, an active menu and a representative meal order from acceptance through kitchen review and service.

Who accepts a meal order?

Service Lead checks the menu, portions, allergens and service capacity, then records acceptance and its actual time on the order.

How does the kitchen receive work?

Kitchen Lead prepares a ticket from the accepted order. Kitchen Supervisor reviews the submitted ticket revision before release.

Can a ticket change after review?

A changed ticket needs review of its current submitted revision. Earlier decisions remain with the revision they covered.

How are recipes used during preparation?

Kitchen Lead uses the approved recipe revision for the product and records actual preparation on the meal line. Ingredient movements capture consumption and waste.

What if only part of an order is served?

Record the actual served portions on each meal line. A correction reviews the remaining eligible scope while preserving the served history.

How are refunds checked?

Finance Reviewer compares the provider-issued refund receipt with the parent order, provider event identity and amount before verifying it.

What happens after an interrupted action?

Operations Reviewer reads the operation receipt and linked effects first. The action is complete only when the expected effects match the recorded outcome.

Can delivery activity be recorded?

Fulfillment events keep actual event type, quantity, time and external event identity against the meal order and product. Agree the delivery connection during setup.

Where do I see open issues?

Operations Overview has an exception queue that opens the underlying record. Operation Exceptions shows failed and review-needed receipts for follow-up.
