It can

  • Front Desk: Gather held appointments with their current revision and the consent material needed for the next confirmation review.
  • Service Professional: Prepare draft service-use records with the parent booking, product lot and recorded units for submission.
  • Salon Manager: Assemble the close-out queue and the decision context for the version awaiting review.
  • Payment Reviewer: Locate provider events for a booking and keep authorization, capture, refund and void evidence distinct.

Stays with a person

  • The assistant needs configured access and the actual evidence for the booking.
  • Salon Manager remains responsible for independent close-out and scope decisions.
  • Provider verification comes from the connected evidence process, and the assistant must use the current authorized version when carrying out a permitted action.
  • Agent activity and implementation follow the terms on Pricing.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Choose the operating scope

Select a familiar service and the organization where the first cycle will run. Identify Front Desk, Service Professional and Salon Manager, with Payment Reviewer and Auditor for the evidence handoffs.

  2. Prepare identities and resources

Admin maps staff to their platform accounts and confirms the local timezone. Salon Manager reviews resource codes and eligibility notes. Agree reserved units and the treatment of setup and cleanup allowances.

  3. Configure confirmation evidence

Establish the consent convention and provider-evidence connection. Agree the deposit rule, including the event type and amount that satisfy it for the chosen booking.

  4. Rehearse booking actions

Prepare the appointment, hold its eligible interval and confirm it after evidence review. Test an older revision and a case missing required evidence, then inspect the actual operation outcome.

  5. Review service close-out

Record actual service and product use, submit the current version and obtain an independent decision. Complete an approved case and repeat the successful operation to check protection against duplicate posting.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Salon + Booking + CRM + Inventory for your business. Start with a familiar appointment, its resource requirements and the consent and deposit evidence needed for confirmation. Follow its actual service use through review and completion.

How is customer context recorded?

The booking carries the customer name, subject and quoted amount alongside its interval and owner. Supporting files and provider events link to that specific booking, so staff can locate the context for the appointment under discussion.

Can a booking use a room and equipment?

Attach the required resources through booking reservation lines. Record reserved units and the capacity basis, then agree how setup and cleanup allowances affect eligibility during configuration.

What is required before confirmation?

An eligible held booking needs the consent and deposit evidence required by the configured policy. Front Desk locates the consent material and Payment Reviewer checks the relevant verified provider events before the confirmation action runs.

How do we interpret provider events?

Keep Authorization, Capture, Refund and Void distinct when reviewing the amount and provider reference. Agree which event types satisfy the deposit policy instead of treating every provider event as captured payment.

How do we record product lots used in a service?

Service Professional records the service, product lot text and consumed units against the booking. Agree the lot naming and unit convention so Salon Manager can understand the submission before approving close-out.

Who approves service close-out?

Salon Manager independently reviews the submitted version through the configured decision path. Approved service use can then be completed by the guarded close-out action, which preserves the accepted revision and avoids double posting.

What happens when an appointment is cancelled?

The supported cancellation or no-show action checks timing and eligibility and records its outcome while preserving completed service. Review any provider payment consequence through its actual evidence and configured process.

How do we change authorized work?

Salon Manager uses a reasoned correction action for the current scope. Unexecuted scope can be cancelled where applicable, while original executed records remain available with successor evidence explaining the change.

How do we know the booking has been reconciled?

Inspect the outcome of the reconciliation action and the linked effects it reviewed. A Completed receipt must be read with its action; use the actual reconciliation result when explaining verified completion.
