From demand to accepted output

Textile demand to shipment ships ready to use. 2 steps need a named approval before the work moves on: Purchase approval (Approver) and Textile release (Industry Reviewer).

Prepare the next review with Proto

Prepare production reviews and reconcile textile evidence with your team.

It can

  • Production Planner: Review My MRP Exceptions due in the current planning horizon and explain the linked supply suggestion.
  • Industry Specialist: Compare required and completed garment quantities for the selected style, size and color.
  • Industry Reviewer: Prepare the dye evidence awaiting review, including the yarn reference, shade and colorfastness grade.
  • Shop Floor Supervisor: Examine completed production intervals and explain good output and scrap by operation.

Stays with a person

  • Proto works within the authority assigned to its user.
  • Purchasing approval and specialty release remain decisions for the responsible people.
  • A recorded grade needs the review agreed with Industry Reviewer, and a financial acknowledgment needs evidence from the system that owns the money movement.
  • Reconcile the source before repeating an action after a delayed response.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Choose the operating cycle

Select a style and dye job that the floor can explain from yarn requirement through finished output. Include a purchased material and an eligible customer delivery so the pilot exercises the stock and finance handoffs.

  2. Prepare the records

Agree product units, yarn identifiers and the active bill and routing versions. Reconcile opening stock and open invoice balances. Follow the import order so dependent records point to their intended source.

  3. Assign responsibility

Name the purchasing decision maker, dye evidence recorder and specialty release owner. Agree which people handle customer intake, production reporting and period close. Map employees to their accounts before setting up personal queues.

  4. Rehearse ordinary work

Follow demand into material suggestions, approve the purchase, inspect the receipt and run the production route. Review shade evidence and reconcile garment quantities by size and color before receiving accepted finished output.

  5. Rehearse exceptions

Try incomplete product data, an expired yarn lot and a held dye job. Repeat demand intake, purchase conversion, completion and shipment requests. Inspect the retained records and confirm that duplicate effects do not change the balances.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Textiles ERP.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure ERP for Textiles for your business. Begin with a representative style and dye job, its yarn requirement and production route. Rehearse incoming inspection, accepted output and an eligible customer delivery with the people who own the decisions.

What does the dye record keep together?

It keeps the yarn reference, recipe reference, intended shade and colorfastness grade with the manufacturing work order. Industry Reviewer uses that evidence during release review. Agree the yarn naming convention and accepted grade wording during setup.

How does the garment size matrix help?

Industry Specialist compares required and completed units by style, size and color. Review the individual size balances before treating the style requirement as complete, and reconcile completed quantities with accepted garment output.

Who decides whether a dye job can be released?

Industry Reviewer decides after examining the shade and colorfastness evidence. Agree the evidence-recording owner and release action during setup. Keep the job Held when the review does not support release, and tell the floor team which work is affected.

What can we review at the daily production meeting?

Production Overview brings together released and late work orders, production output, active holds and exception coverage. Use the underlying job and operation records to explain an interruption and assign the next action.

How do purchases reach the receiving team?

Buyer prepares the commitment and Approver reviews the assigned purchasing decision. Operator records the eligible arrival against its purchase scope. Quality Inspector reviews incoming evidence when inspection applies, before the receipt is accepted.

When does production become finished stock?

Use accepted output from a completed terminal-operation interval and receive only the eligible quantity not already received. Keep earlier operation output as progress evidence. Rehearse a repeated completion request to confirm that it retains the original stock effect.

Can we connect laboratory systems and scanners?

Plan these as connections to set up with your chosen providers. Confirm the provider's available interface, then agree the source owner, field mapping and repeated-message handling for laboratory evidence or shop-floor capture. Use integrations to plan and test those handoffs.

Can we retain our external accounting system?

Agree whether the local manufacturing journals will feed reviewed postings to that ledger and which system owns final reporting. Accountant should reconcile accepted exchanges, outstanding invoices and confirmed money before the period-close review.

What drives the cost?

Review the rates on pricing against expected imports, agent activity and connected machine work. Implementation and migration are scoped separately. Use a representative operating cycle to estimate usage before expanding.
