Prepare the work with Proto

Use Proto to prepare load context and bring the right evidence to the decision maker.

It can

  • Dispatcher: Prepare the load and stop sequence from the selected partner and appointment windows, then list the assignment checks needed before dispatch.
  • Transport Supervisor: Bring together the submitted carrier offer, authority reference and parent load revision for independent review.
  • Auditor: Summarize the authorized decision and operation evidence behind a load's recorded outcome.
  • App Administrator: Help check partner and member organization references before importing the pilot records.

Stays with a person

  • The Dispatcher checks driver eligibility and vehicle readiness before dispatch.
  • The Transport Supervisor makes the independent award and corrective-scope decisions.
  • Confirm authoritative evidence before treating an uncertain operation as complete, and obtain the appropriate authorization before any new external action.
  • Assistant activity and connected operations follow the metering described in pricing.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Choose the pilot movement

Select a known transport partner and a warehouse-to-cross-dock load. Identify the Dispatcher preparing it and the Transport Supervisor making the independent award decision.

  2. Prepare scope and resources

App Administrator checks organization and membership context. Prepare the driver and vehicle references with their eligibility and readiness evidence. Admin supports user access setup.

  3. Agree dates and revisions

Define how load and stop revisions are handled and how appointment windows and assignment intervals are entered. Inspect the planning receipt created with a new load, then rehearse the separate stop and resource checks. Preserve the original delivery promise when recording later observations.

  4. Rehearse carrier review

Prepare and submit an offer with its rate, validity and authority reference. Test independent approval, rejection and Return, then inspect the persisted award receipt before completion.

  5. Practice dispatch and delivery

Check overlapping assignments, driver eligibility and vehicle readiness before dispatch. Record pickup and delivery with their evidence, including a late-arrival example.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Freight Brokerage Platform.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Freight Brokerage Platform for your business. Begin with a known transport partner and a warehouse-to-cross-dock load that exercises carrier review, dispatch and delivery evidence.

What should we prepare for a new load?

Record its owner, organization, transport partner and promised delivery time. Add the equipment class and freight amount, then prepare ordered stops with addresses and appointment windows.

Who reviews the carrier offer?

The Transport Supervisor independently reviews the eligible submitted offer through guarded actions. The Dispatcher prepares the carrier name, offered rate, validity and authority reference for that decision.

How are driver and vehicle commitments checked?

The Dispatcher compares assignment start and end intervals with other commitments, checks driver eligibility and reads vehicle readiness and relevant defect evidence. Repeat those checks before dispatch.

What evidence supports an award?

Keep the carrier authority reference and submitted offer revision identifiable with the parent load revision. Inspect the independent decision and persisted operation receipt before completing the award step.

How is delivery performance read?

Compare actual delivery with the original promised delivery time for loads with complete timing evidence. Keep the original promise unchanged when explaining a late arrival.

Where do delivery documents go?

Attach supporting files to the load and retain proof references against the relevant stops. Choose Internal or Shared visibility deliberately and test the intended reader's access.

How do we handle an uncertain action result?

Inspect the operation receipt with the load and its linked effects. The Transport Supervisor reconciles the evidence with the authoritative source and retains a specific discrepancy while the outcome remains unresolved.

What happens when an executed load needs correction?

Use the guarded corrective-scope review procedure and preserve the original evidence. Agree the required authorization with the responsible external operator before changing work controlled outside the platform.
