Confirm the entry accounts and review responsibilities before expanding.
It covers shipment planning, carrier agreements and rate shopping, tender responses, movement events, exceptions, detention, delivery evidence and freight invoice audit. The Shipments page provides freight filters, a selected-shipment detail panel and operational scope toggles. Connect the warehouse handoff and accounts-payable destination during setup.
Rate Shop On Shipment Create leaves the shipment unchanged and logs a reason in the EDI message log with message type Other. Transportation Planner reviews the missing lane, band or agreement input before preparing a tender. A carrier name without a supported price is insufficient rating evidence.
The active response workflow returns the shipment to Planned and conditionally clears the rejecting carrier when it is the current assigned carrier. Transportation Planner prepares and reviews the next offer before tendering it. Dispatcher/Ops retains the rejected attempt and follows the next response.
Shipment Milestone Update From Tracking Feed advances the lifecycle forward only. It fills missing milestone dates and skips a timestamp that contradicts the opposing milestone, with the reason logged. Rehearse late and contradictory events with your provider's actual payloads.
Delivered describes the shipment arrival. Delivery proof records can remain Pending until recipient and document evidence is supplied, then Captured while the operational reviewer checks it. Dispatcher/Ops has editing authority; Receiving / Customer reads the delivery evidence.
Identify an account with verified invoice and line write access during setup. Freight Audit Clerk can manage audit results and disputes but can only view freight invoice records and freight invoice lines. Enter the lines before moving the invoice into Auditing so the active audit has its inputs.
Freight Invoice Approval is an automatic eligibility check. An Audited invoice needs a non-zero amount and audit results all in Match or Waived. Agree the human waiver decisions and access during setup, then reconcile Approved invoices with the connected payable system before tracking payment.
Agree the external carrier access arrangement during setup. Test a carrier account against the tender it should receive and another carrier's work before inviting contacts. Logistics Manager should confirm the arrangement and the communication path the carrier will use.
Choose the tracking provider, carrier exchange and accounts-payable destination during setup. Agree the renewal notification schedule and email account. Rehearse tender delivery, incoming movement events and payable acknowledgment with a controlled shipment and invoice.
