Bring the record to the conversation

Ask Proto to help configure records and investigate an order while staff keep the decisions.

It can

  • Catalog Manager: Check a product and its variants before a storefront listing is made active.
  • Warehouse Operator: Bring an order's meal lines, stock positions and latest fulfillment events into one review.
  • Customer Service Rep: Trace a customer question from the order number through the purchased lines and event history.
  • Finance Manager: Summarize payment and prior refund evidence for a pending request.

Stays with a person

  • A person still owns catalog release, stock corrections and refund approval.
  • The agent can gather records and point out a conflict, but the responsible role makes the decision and verifies the resulting record.
  • Set access to match the person's role and rehearse an exception before regular use.
  • Start with roles and get started.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Name owners

Merchant Owner assigns catalog, warehouse, customer service and finance responsibilities, including refund approval.

  2. Prepare records

Import catalogs, products, variants, stock, customers and addresses in reference order.

  3. Set checkout choices

Review payment methods, shipping methods, tax rates and discount rules for the first market.

  4. Rehearse orders

Place carts and orders, inspect payment evidence, record fulfillment and test a refund decision.

  5. Open operations

Train each role on its views and agree who checks failed configuration, payment and delivery outcomes.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Meal Prep / Subscription Box.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Meal Prep / Subscription Box for your business. Begin with one catalog, a few saleable meal variants, stock positions and a test order.

What does a meal order contain?

It links the customer or guest email, catalog, shipping choice, addresses, financial and fulfillment states, and purchased meal lines. Each line keeps the purchased item and portions.

Can I sell different sizes of one meal?

Use product variants for separate saleable choices. Each variant can have its own SKU, price, weight and stock position.

How do I see a cart that was left behind?

Use Abandoned cart follow-up to review its recovery stage and related communication entries. Open the linked cart to check its last activity.

How is stock tracked?

Inventory holds on-hand and reserved quantities for each variant at a warehouse. Warehouse Operator checks it alongside the order lines.

What tells a customer where a package is?

Fulfillment Events hold the recorded label, transit, delivery and exception steps. Customer Service Rep checks the latest event and tracking details.

Who approves a refund?

Finance Manager reviews a pending request, the authorized approver and the order's remaining refundable balance before approval.

How do I check payment progress?

Read the order's financial status and paid amount with its Payment Evidence records. Authorization, capture and failed attempts have different meanings.

Can I compare campaign traffic with purchases?

Store Sessions hold traffic source and conversion status. Carts and meal orders show the subsequent customer activity.

Where do I plan external services?

Use integrations to assign owners for storefront, payment, carrier and email connections.
