Ask Proto for the current context

Use Proto to inspect requests, evidence and stock exceptions with your team.

It can

  • Inventory Coordinator: Show my owned requests due soon with their item, location and status.
  • Inventory Reviewer: Find requests in Review and show the current revision and linked evidence.
  • Cold Chain Operations' assistant: Find submitted cold chain reviews with their sensor reference and excursion details.
  • Auditor: Trace a request from its decision to the operation receipt and posted movements.

Stays with a person

  • A person must inspect the evidence and make the approval decision.
  • The agent can assemble the request, lot and receipt context, but it cannot turn a review result into a lot release or stock effect.
  • A temperature reading should be checked against its source.
  • Access remains within the user's role and organization.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the operating scope

Select the first organization, active team members, items and storage locations. Agree who owns requests and who reviews them.

  2. Prepare stock identity

Record item base units and lot codes, expiry dates and release states. Review location eligibility notes with the operating team.

  3. Rehearse a request

Create a Draft request, attach evidence, submit it for Review and record an independent decision against the revision.

  4. Rehearse a hold

Record a sensor reference and excursion measurements, submit the cold chain review and capture the disposition decision.

  5. Reconcile quantity

Compare active reservations with posted movements and operation receipts for one item, location and lot.

FAQ

Scope, rollout and pricing for Cold Chain SCM.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure SCM for Cold Chain for your business. Start with one organization, a small item and lot range, and the locations used in the first operating cycle. Rehearse a request review and a held-lot decision with the people who will do that work.

Who prepares a stock request?

Inventory Coordinator prepares the assigned request with its item, location, owner, quantity and required date. Inventory Reviewer records the independent decision on its revision.

How is a lot identified?

A lot links to an item and carries a lot code, expiry date, owner reference and release state. Check those details before choosing stock for a dated request.

What happens when a request changes after review?

The decision retains the source revision it covered. Send the changed scope for another review so the recorded reason and decision remain clear.

Where do temperature findings go?

Cold Chain Operations records a cold chain review linked to the request, with a sensor reference, highest observed temperature and excursion duration. Supporting files can be attached to the request.

Who decides a cold chain hold?

Inventory Reviewer examines the submitted review and its evidence, then records the disposition. Check the lot release state and stock outcome separately.

Does a reservation change on-hand quantity?

A reservation records a claim against an item, location and optional lot. Posted stock movements carry the signed quantity trail.

How do we investigate a failed action?

Open the operation receipt, compare its action key and expected revision with the request, then inspect linked movements and attachments. Inventory Reviewer reconciles the result.

Can auditors see the evidence?

Auditor has read access to authorized evidence and reports. Attachment visibility distinguishes Internal and Shared material.

Where should we start with integrations?

Identify the source of temperature readings and any upstream stock effects. Agree the identifiers and owner for each connection during implementation.
