Prepare the next decision with Proto

Ask Proto to prepare load work and surface decisions for the right person.

It can

  • Dispatcher: Show planned loads whose assignments or custody results need checking before pickup.
  • Fleet Coordinator: List active drivers near eligibility expiry and vehicles that are held or under maintenance.
  • Warehouse Lead: Prepare the linked load and evidence for a submitted custody handoff.
  • Independent Reviewer: Show the current source revision, prior decisions and evidence before a custody or exception decision.

Stays with a person

  • Proto can prepare a case and help inspect linked records.
  • A named person decides a submitted transfer or exception.
  • Physical pickup and recipient delivery need observed times and evidence.
  • External fleet, carrier and finance outcomes need their authoritative systems.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set scope

Define an operating organization, its team membership, partner directory and time-zone convention.

  2. Prepare resources

Enter eligible drivers, ready vehicles and any open defects; agree how source authority is checked.

  3. Run a load

Plan a load with ordered stops, a promise, an assignment and a submitted custody handoff.

  4. Decide and move

Review custody independently, record its completion receipt, then dispatch and deliver with actual times.

  5. Reconcile

Test a late delivery, a changed handoff revision and a failed operation receipt before widening use.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Warehouse + Fleet + Delivery.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Warehouse + Fleet + Delivery for your business. Pilot one operating organization, a representative load and a complete warehouse-to-recipient movement.

What does a load hold?

The load carries its operating organization, owner, transport partner, freight subject, promised delivery time and movement state. Stops, assignments, custody, decisions, receipts and attachments link to it.

Can I see who is assigned to a load?

Yes. The assignment links a driver and vehicle to the load for a committed start and end interval. Check eligibility, readiness and overlaps before confirmation.

How is a warehouse handoff approved?

The Warehouse Lead submits a frozen transfer scope. An Independent Reviewer decides it against the parent load revision and records a reason. The transfer completes after its physical time and operation receipt are recorded.

What happens when the driver changes after review?

Review the changed transfer scope again. The prior decision belongs to the earlier submitted revision.

Can I compare delivery with the original promise?

Yes. The load retains the promised delivery time separately from actual delivery. Stop windows and actual stop times add location-level context.

Where do proof and attachments go?

A stop can hold a proof reference. The load can also carry titled attachments with an evidence type and internal or shared visibility.

What should we do with a failed operation?

The Operations Manager checks linked local effects and the authoritative external result. An unresolved receipt moves into review with the discrepancy recorded before any authorized correction.

How does finance use delivery evidence?

Connect the finance process to the freight amount and completed movement evidence when your team needs invoice or settlement decisions.
