A published answer can become outdated without receiving a negative comment. The review calendar tracks the due date set by the article template or the default review interval for every live article. Missing ratings do not remove an overdue answer from maintenance. A low helpfulness signal is an additional reason to investigate, rather than a condition that must be met before scheduled review occurs.
Owners can plan the work around actual content responsibility. The calendar keeps the last accepted review and next due date visible, so a routine draft save or an ownership change is not mistaken for a completed accuracy check. Review policy stays explicit when a team changes its cadence.
If the answer needs to change, the author prepares a new revision and follows the normal review and publishing process. Customers keep the earlier approved answer while the replacement is drafted unless KB Manager deliberately withdraws it. The new snapshot records what changed and which required reviews accepted it.
If the current published answer remains accurate, Author can propose a review-only confirmation. KB Manager checks that exact unchanged version before recording the completed review and next due date. The action does not create a new article version or silently reset the history. A later draft change cannot borrow that no-change confirmation as an approval to publish.
The link checker records the published version, target URL and observed failure. A timeout, forbidden response or temporary server error is useful evidence but does not automatically prove a permanent broken link. Bounded checks and an explicit scan identity make repeated jobs safe, while a later successful probe can resolve the same finding.
An author’s replacement link is not live until the corrected article completes review and publication. A known issue may be suppressed by KB Manager with a reason, preserving the observation. The scanner follows controlled public HTTP and HTTPS destinations; it must not use an article link to probe private services or credentials. The maintenance view gives the team a way to separate an actual content correction from a temporary external outage and to keep the current answer readable throughout that work. Reports retain the detected and resolved times instead of counting a draft edit as a repaired customer experience.
