Click Get started, then use Proto to configure SCM for Chemicals for your business. Begin with a known chemical item, an identifiable lot and a storage location that the Inventory Coordinator and independent reviewers can rehearse together.
Posted signed movements establish the recorded stock position for the item, location and lot. Inspect the source request and movement when a quantity needs explanation, keeping each item's base unit consistent.
Active reservations represent claims on eligible free stock for approved requests. Compare those claims with the posted position and relevant lot context before allocating the next request.
Prepare the chemical class, concentration, review time and SDS revision for the current stock request. Attach the authoritative SDS and relevant inspection material. The Chemical Safety Reviewer assesses that evidence in the intended storage context.
The Inventory Reviewer independently assesses the frozen stock-request revision, including its quantity, unit, location and supporting evidence. The Inventory Coordinator performs the applicable authorized operation for the assigned request.
The inspected-stock action excludes Pending, Quarantined, Blocked and expired lots. Check the lot's release state and expiry together before relying on it for the proposed operation.
An eligible reversal appends an opposite-signed movement linked to the original. The reviewer checks the allowed remaining scope, and the original posted effect remains available to explain the resulting position.
Reconciliation compares unsettled receipts with their persisted linked stock movements. The scheduled process runs every 15 minutes, and an authorized Inventory Reviewer can select a manual reconciliation action.
Yes, agree the source ownership and mapping during setup. Preserve document revisions, item and location identity, base units and stable operation keys. See connections for the handoffs to rehearse.
Test a valid operation, a unit mismatch, an ineligible lot, a changed revision and a repeated operation. Rehearse an active reservation and a partial reversal, then verify that the resulting stock position and receipts can be explained from the retained evidence.
Start free, then use Proto to change fields, steps and approvals before your team goes live.
