Ask Proto to trace the case

Ask Proto to help inspect requests, lot exceptions and the evidence behind stock movements.

It can

  • Inventory Coordinator: Find my requests in Review and show the item, location, quantity and required date that the reviewer will see.
  • Inventory Reviewer: Compare a request revision with its recorded decision, reason and attached evidence before I decide what to do next.
  • App Administrator: Find active locations and the organization membership for an assigned request owner.
  • Auditor: Trace a posted movement through its request, decision and operation receipt.

Stays with a person

  • Proto can prepare a comparison and point to records.
  • A person must decide whether a request revision is approved or a lot should be released, and the team must reconcile an ambiguous operation outcome against the actual posted effect.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Establish context

Set up the organization, active locations, users and team memberships. Agree site codes and who maintains them.

  2. Load apparel identity

Register the size-color SKUs, base units and lot-tracking choices. Add lot codes, release states and expiry where needed.

  3. Run a reviewed request

Attach a seasonal target to an exact request, submit the current revision and have an independent reviewer record a decision with a reason.

  4. Check stock eligibility

Inspect lot state and expiry and the active reservations that point to the same stock.

  5. Reconcile the result

Trace the operation receipt and posted signed movement back to the approved request. Resolve failed or review-needed outcomes before closing the case.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Fashion/Apparel SCM.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure SCM for Fashion/Apparel for your business. Begin with one organization, location and size-color SKU, then rehearse a seasonal plan, reviewed request and stock effect.

How is a seasonal target connected to stock work?

A seasonal plan records the season, size-color target, required date and parent stock request. The request identifies the operational item and location.

Who approves a stock request?

Inventory Reviewer records an independent decision against the request revision, with a reason. The coordinator prepares and corrects the request.

What does the lot gate show?

The Lot Release & Expiry Gate brings restricted, pending and expiring lots together with reservations needing attention.

Does a reservation change on-hand stock?

A reservation records a claim. Posted signed movements provide the on-hand quantity trail.

How do we investigate a failed operation?

Open the operation receipt, read its result state and failure reason, then compare effect references with posted movements for the parent request.

Can we trace an earlier review decision?

review decisions retain the source revision, reviewer, decision, time and reason under the request.

How do we handle stock in different locations?

storage locations record each site under an organization. Requests and movements identify the affected location, and requests can also name a counterparty location.

What should we test before adding more sites?

Rehearse a request with a corrected revision, an expiring lot and a review-needed operation outcome. Confirm the team can explain each handoff from the linked records.
