AI agent

Ask Proto to gather the case

Ask Proto to prepare consignment cases and explain the evidence trail for human review.

It can

  • Inventory Coordinator: Find assigned requests that need item, location or attachment review before submission.
  • Inventory Reviewer: Gather the request revision, decision history, lot state and operation outcomes for a named case.
  • Auditor: Trace a completed usage quantity to its parent request, posted movement and review decision.
  • App Administrator: Check active organizations, items, locations and team member assignments before a new site starts work.

Stays with a person

  • A person decides whether the request revision or consumption evidence is acceptable.
  • Proto can assemble the linked records and point out inconsistencies, while the Inventory Reviewer records the decision and reason.
  • Physical receipt, issue and customer confirmation still need evidence from the people at the site.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Define ownership

Name the organizations, team members, reviewer and administrator for the first operating scope.

  2. Load stock context

Add active items, storage locations and released lots with the agreed codes and units.

  3. Rehearse a request

Prepare a real receipt or move, attach evidence, obtain an independent decision and inspect its operation receipt and posted movement.

  4. Rehearse consumption

Hold quantity with a reservation, record physical issue and complete reviewed usage under an agreement reference.

  5. Reconcile exceptions

Test a rejected decision, a failed operation receipt and a compensating movement before expanding to more sites.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for SCM with Consignment Tracking.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure SCM with Consignment Tracking for your business. Begin with one organization, one storage location, a consigned item and a reviewed receipt and use case.

Who prepares stock requests?

Inventory Coordinator records the item, site, quantity, required date and evidence for an assigned request.

Who decides whether a request proceeds?

Inventory Reviewer records an independent decision and reason against the request revision.

How are lots handled?

Each lot has a code, expiry date, owner reference and release state. Check these details before holding or using lot-tracked stock.

What is the difference between a reservation and a movement?

A reservation holds a quantity for a request. A posted movement records a signed physical stock effect.

When does usage become final?

Inventory Coordinator submits the used quantity and agreement context. Inventory Reviewer decides on that revision before it reaches Completed.

Can a posted quantity be corrected?

A compensating movement can link to the original movement, keeping both physical effects available for review.

Where do failed actions appear?

Operation exceptions show receipts marked Failed or needs review with the action, reason and parent request.

How does billing use this information?

Completed usage supplies consumed units and an agreement reference for a billing handoff. Agree the invoice connection and reconciliation procedure during setup.
