Operators work on their assigned operations. Shop Supervisor decisions stay within assigned work centers. Employee records map to authenticated identities so an own-work view does not confuse a person with a role or an unrelated record.
Estimator releases eligible offers at or above the protected margin policy. Shop Owner reviews exceptions and above-threshold purchases, approves controlled cost corrections and signs off job close. Production Manager prepares close and controls job release.
Switching roles does not create a second person. Authors cannot satisfy an independent approval by choosing another role. Any permitted small-shop owner exception must be enabled in the reviewed policy and recorded against the decision; it cannot silently bypass inspection or financial controls.
Work-center rates, employee cost overrides and approval thresholds follow their own change permissions. Production planning access does not permit unrestricted rate changes. Released travelers and posted costs keep the basis used at the time.
Quality Inspector records inspection and disposition within the policy. Material work uses authorized reservation, issue, return and adjustment actions, preserving customer ownership and source quantities. Broad record access does not create stock or release rejected work.
Material changes invalidate the affected approval. Posted financial or production evidence uses linked corrections rather than editing historical amounts. Admin can manage configuration and resolve supported exceptions with evidence, while business approval requirements still apply.
Sets protected margin, purchase and exception policy, decides below-margin offers, above-limit purchases, financial changes and manual costs, and authorises every job close. Default independence is person-based. A permitted OwnerException requires an explicitly activated small-shop scope and a reason on that decision; switching roles never creates independence.
