Process steps
Follow the process from start to finish. Select a step to see who acts and what changes.
Stage
Shipping Clerk organizes eligible shipments into the open manifest while Packer and Warehouse Operator prepare and move the physical containers. Cartons and pallets are staged by carrier and linked to their shipments. Parent-pallet nesting retains the carton contents without adding another inventory balance.
Chase the cutoff
Shipping Clerk reviews Shipments Not Yet Manifested, Cartons Awaiting Label and orders still at pack. Shift Supervisor can reassign suitable staff; Warehouse Manager handles the cutoff decision when work cannot be completed. The configured local cutoff guides planning, but does not guarantee a pickup or authorize dispatching an unresolved pack.
Check the manifest
Shipping Clerk compares the batch's shipments, counts and weights with the staged load and valid labels. Missing containers are found or corrected before close. Extra containers need a valid shipment link. Uncertain carrier requests, unresolved holds and inconsistent contents remain exceptions until reconciled.
Manifest close
Shipping Clerk closes the reviewed manifest. Membership is frozen and the close retains its actor and time. Carrier transmission and LTL document operations keep their own outcomes, including bill-of-lading and PRO evidence where applicable. A timeout is reconciled against the stable request before repeating an operation that may already have succeeded.
Tender
Shipping Clerk records actual carrier handover with supporting evidence. That distinct event issues the exact packed stock once, consumes its reservations and updates carton, shipment and order quantities. A closed or transmitted manifest alone cannot authorize the stock issue. Failed outward notifications can retry without issuing the goods again.
Reconcile
Shipping Clerk reviews Carrier Manifest Summary against the handover and carrier records. Later carrier invoices can be compared with the recorded carton, weight and freight information. Corrections retain their reasons and carrier outcomes; a local label void is not proof of a canceled carrier charge.

- Labels, manifest closeTransmission and handover have distinct meanings. Stock remains on hand until the tender event posts.
- Reprinting a valid label preserves its tracking identityVoid and replacement require reconciled carrier outcomes and consistent shipment records.
- Stable requestStock-event identities prevent response-loss recovery from creating duplicate documents or stock issues.

Process reports
All reportsOn-Time Ship
Fully fulfilled orders with Orders.FulfilledAt on or before immutable OriginalShipCutoffAt divided by all fully fulfilled eligible orders in the reporting period. FulfilledAt is the latest evidenced tender needed for all non-cancelled units, including split shipments; calendar ShipDate and manifest transmission cannot satisfy the cutoff. Outstanding/late unshipped orders and cancellations are reported separately to expose denominator coverage.
Carrier Manifest Summary
By manifest day, Warehouse, Carrier, account and service: frozen included shipments, cartons/pallets and reviewed billable weight, with transmission acknowledgement and actual tender shown separately. Reconcile label/void/request outcomes and carrier billing references; a manifest close is not pickup evidence.
Cartonization Efficiency
Actual verified bundle contents and occupied volume against the physical handling-unit type, compared with the frozen CartonizationLines plan; show dimensional/actual weight, splits and type mix by CarrierService. Missing geometry or unsupported packing basis is Unknown, not zero or perfect fill.
Expiring Lots
Exact Inventory identities grouped by expiry date and remaining life at planned/actual shipping date, with lot/serial, plate, physical quantity, reservation stage and hold status. Show applicable Items.MinShelfLifeDays and order lot conditions; 30/60/90-day buckets are reporting ranges, not release authority.
Agent support
Human decisions remain with the authorized people. An assistant cannot release a wave, close a receipt or manifest, approve a stock correction, invent delegation or turn an uncertain carrier response into a confirmed shipment. It can prepare evidence and proposals. Every permitted write must retain its identity, scope and source context.
